Dr. V was formerly the neuropsychologist and athletic performance counselor for the University of Michigan athletes where he served as the ADHD and learning disability expert with specialization in the underdiagnosis, overdiagnosis, and misdiagnosis of ADHD in highly motivated athletes.

During his time with the University of Michigan Athletic Department, Dr. V was one of the first neuropsychologists housed within athletics and was honored as the only licensed psychologist credentialed by the University of Michigan University Health Services (UHS). He also served as a critical employee during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Dr. V graduated from The University of Michigan. Additionally, he holds two master’s degrees in both clinical-behavioral psychology and clinical psychology, as well as a Ph.D. in clinical psychology with specialization in clinical neuropsychology.

Prior to working in athletics, Dr. V received graduate training under some of the best neuropsychologists in the country at world-renowned medical centers including: the University of Michigan, the University of Chicago, the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC), and NorthShore University Health Systems, as well as proudly serving those who served at various VA Medical Centers.

While on residency, Dr. V completed his intern year specializing in clinical neuropsychology under Dr. Jim Scott at the prestigious University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. His dissertation study developed an assessment measure targeting the twice-exceptional (2e) population (exceptional intellectually, while also being exceptional due to a disability).
